EDO state government was late yesterday mum on the directive by the head of Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) Hamman Tukur that all transactions by the federal government and states would go cashless from March 1 this year.
When contacted, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare directed enquiries to the Commissioner for Finance, Joseph Eboigbe.
On enquiries, Vanguard was told the Eboigbe was out of the country and as of the time of filing this report, he was yet to respond to sms and WhatsApp message sent to his mobile line.
